These two Los Angeles mega-mansions are similar priced and sized, but slightly different in style, location and amenities. I am leaving it up to you to decide which California dream mansion you prefer.

This mansion, dubbed ‘Fleur de Lys’ is famous for it’s size, location, and jaw dropping price. Listed at a whopping $125 million, it’s one of the most expensive homes in the country. Located on Carolwood Drive in Bel Air, CA, this mansion has 35,046 square feet, 12 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, a guest house, and more. A new book, Unreal Estate: Money, Ambition, and The Lust For Land in Los Angeles, is coming out on November 1st. The author is Michael Gross and the book will be based on the famous Hollywood mansions in the ‘platinum triangle’ (Bel Air, Beverly Hills, and Holmby Hills) in California. This book explores the history behind sixteen estates in Los Angeles’ most exclusive neighborhoods. It not only examines the history of the coveted mansions in Los Angeles but also takes a look at the owners of theses magnificent estates. Some famous mansions that will be included in the book will be Greenacres, the former home of movie star Harold Loyd but now owned by billionaire Ron Burkle, The Knoll, with former owners including Dino Di Laurentis, Kenny Rogers, and Marvin Davis, and even the Playboy Mansion.
