A new book, Unreal Estate: Money, Ambition, and The Lust For Land in Los Angeles, is coming out on November 1st. The author is Michael Gross and the book will be based on the famous Hollywood mansions in the ‘platinum triangle’ (Bel Air, Beverly Hills, and Holmby Hills) in California. This book explores the history behind sixteen estates in Los Angeles’ most exclusive neighborhoods. It not only examines the history of the coveted mansions in Los Angeles but also takes a look at the owners of theses magnificent estates. Some famous mansions that will be included in the book will be Greenacres, the former home of movie star Harold Loyd but now owned by billionaire Ron Burkle, The Knoll, with former owners including Dino Di Laurentis, Kenny Rogers, and Marvin Davis, and even the Playboy Mansion.
