The famous Holmby Hills mega mansion dubbed ‘The Manor’ was purchased a couple months ago by 22 year old, Petra Ecclestone. She is the heiress daughter to Formula One racing tycoon Bernard Ecclestone. She offered $75 million at first but the actual price paid was $85 million. The house itself is 57,000 square feet and is located in Holmby Hills, CA. It was originally built by Aaron Spelling, but after his death his widowed wife, Candy Spelling, put it on the market back in 2009. When asked why she bought the home she responded, “Firstly, it was a great investment, and I got a really good deal, and it’s kind of like, prime real estate.” This isn’t her only house, though. She also owns a $90.9 million house in London as well. Click the link below for a interview video on why she bought the mansion.
